1. No guarantee of results

Ex Back gives general self-help suggestions for getting through a breakup. We do not promise or guarantee that your ex will contact you, return, or that your relationship will be repaired. Every person and situation is different, and the outcome depends on people and circumstances we cannot control.

2. Not professional advice

Ex Back is not therapy, counselling, medical, psychological or legal advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your mental health, talk to a doctor, counsellor or a local helpline.

3. Your responsibility

You decide what to do with the suggestions in the app, and you are fully responsible for your own decisions, actions and messages, and for their consequences. Use your own judgement and skip any step that doesn’t feel right for your situation.

4. Respect the other person

You agree not to use Ex Back to pressure, harass, follow or monitor anyone. If someone has asked you not to contact them, or has blocked you, respect that. Ex Back will not help you contact them, and you agree not to try.

5. Safety and emergencies

Ex Back is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

6. Age

Ex Back is for people aged 18 and over.

7. Payment, restore and refunds

The full plan is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase, with no subscription. The price is shown by the App Store or Google Play in your local currency before you confirm. Payment is processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests go to them under their policies: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Google Play order history. If a purchase is refunded, the plan is locked again. You can restore your purchase on another device signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account with Settings, Restore purchase. Paying unlocks content; it does not buy any result.

8. Your data

Your answers, progress and journal entries are stored on your device. See the Privacy policy for details. Settings, Clear my data deletes them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ex Back and its developer are not liable for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damages arising from your use of the app or from any decision you make based on it. Some countries do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If you keep using Ex Back after an update, you accept the new terms.
